Candle Care & Guidance
Candle Care & Use
A few considerations will help preserve both the fragrance and the experience.
Before the First Burn
The first burn sets the tone.
Allow the wax to melt fully across the surface before extinguishing. This helps ensure an even burn and preserves the candle’s form over time.
Choose a moment when you can be present with it, even briefly.
Between Use
-
Trim the wick to approximately ⅛ - ¼ inch before each use
-
Keep the wax pool free of debris
-
At minimum, wait 3-4 hours between burns
-
For ideal performance, wait 12-24 hours between burns
During Use
-
Burn within sight and away from drafts
-
Keep out of reach from small children and pets
-
Allow the fragrance to unfold naturally rather than forcing it with long burns
This candle does not need to fill every room. It’s meant to occupy space thoughtfully.
Extinguishing
Snuffing the wick helps minimize smoke and keeps the wick primed for the next burn.
Pause before relighting. Even a short rest allows the fragrance to reset.
Burn Time & Rhythm
For best results:
-
Burn no longer than 3–4 hours at a time
-
Allow the wax to fully cool between burns
Think in terms of returning, not consuming.
Wax & Fragrance Variations
Because each piece is made in small batches using carefully chosen materials, slight variations in color or texture may occur. These are natural and intentional.
Fragrance will evolve subtly over time — especially as the candle settles into your space.
After the Candle Is Finished
Once the wax is gone, the vessel can be repurposed or recycled.
If you choose to reuse it, clean gently with warm water and mild soap.
